Entire Internet Feels Sorry For Dude Who Is Deep In The Friend Zone [PHOTOS]

There's the friend zone, and then there's the deep friend zone—a place where a guy named Daniel has been relegated to for the unforeseeable future.

Chances are, you've dealt with some type of unrequited love in your lifetime, but a photo that has gone viral will make your past struggles seem elementary.

A guy named Daniel and a female companion spent the day together on what was clearly a romantic date. I don't know the history between Daniel and this girl, but based on the fact that the date wrapped up with HORSE RIDING I would say it was beyond just a couple friends hanging out.

But lo and behold, after the girl posted the photo of what she described as a "friend date" (literally, she typed the words "friend" and a"date" in the Instagram post) the entire internet felt terrible for Daniel.

From Top Golf to dinner, flowers, ice cream and horseback riding, you out-did yourself on this friend date Daniel! First of all, she can ditch the hashtag. Not only is it pretty much a slap in the face of a dude who she obviously knows has feelings for her, but still went through with a very involved romantic date and even acknowledged that Daniel was showing her how good she could be treated (by a guy like him, obvz).

Even though Daniel is probably still holding this "L," the internet is embracing him today.

But after going viral, Daniel himself offered a little bit more of an explantion.
