Failed Attempt to Heist ATM from Denham Springs Bank Ends in Fatal Crash

According to reports, one man is dead following an incident in Denham Springs. Reports say the suspects attempted to steal an ATM from a local bank but after their attempt was unsuccessful, the two crashed the stolen getaway vehicle nearby resulting in a fatality.

Multiple reports are saying that authorities in Denham Springs have arrested one suspect who was allegedly involved in an attempt at stealing an ATM from Regions Bank.

The ATM heist occurred on the morning of April 11, 2022. The reports say that the two suspects were unsuccessful in their attempt to pull the ATM from the Regions Bank. As the two ditched their attempt and sped away, they crashed less than a mile away from the scene of the crime.

Reports add that the vehicle used by the suspects was stolen. The driver of the Ford F-250 lost control and crashed into a field. This is where one suspect fled the scene of the crash, although the other suspect died per reports. The suspect who fled on foot was eventually apprehended.

The reports say that Goldie L. Jones of Houston, TX was booked on charges of manslaughter, theft, simple criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of stolen things.
