Take an exciting journey to India! Party Bollywood-style with Festival International de Louisiane for their annual fundraising celebration, La Fête du Festival, presented by Home Bank! This year’s fundraiser will take you to a world of enchantment with featured drink specials, delicious food by Bay Leaf (think curries and tikka masala), and a fun, energetic performance by Indian vocalist, Falu. Expect warm up beats by DJ Moon.
Falu mixes traditional Indian roots with inventive rock, jazz and hip-hop. Falu is a classically trained musician in the Jaipur style and has worked with musical icons such as Philip Glass, Yo-Yo Ma, and Wyclef Jean. Her most notable performance was at the White House for President Obama and the First Lady in 2009. In early 2015, Falu was named one of the top 20 most influential Global Indian Women in India’s Economic Times.
The official 2017 artwork, L' ami à plumes de la Fête by local artist Cayla Zeek, will be on display and auctioned off during the evening.
Attendees will also be the first to get their hands on the 31st Official cloisonné pin and poster, inspired by the artwork, L' ami à plumes de la Fête.
