Electric Bill Call From 800 Number A Scam In Lafayette

If you recieve a call from a one eight hundred number concerning your electric bill, you might be on the receiving end of a scam.

Acadiana residents are reporting calls from unrecognizable phone numbers, where the caller insist the customer owes a large sum of money or their electricity will be turned off.  In addition, they may ask for your credit card information.  Do not give them credit card information or any account information, this is a scam.
