We live in a world full of membership and for the most part, we have become accustomed to it.

But what if I told you that Disney is thinking about creating a membership for its customers?

To be honest it doesn’t sound horrible, especially if you are a frequent visitor to the happiest place in the world.

The Walt Disney Co. announced that they are exploring a membership program for its customers. This membership program could offer special discounts and perks to those who opt into the program.

Now one could assume that if Disney does go through with this program then it would include all platforms and parks that Disney owns. However, this membership program is still in the early stages of research and development within the Disney organization so we don’t have a lot of details about it like price, name, what the membership would include, or even how long it would take for something like this to be launched.

"Technology is giving us new ways to customize and personalize the consumer experience so that we are delivering entertainment, experiences and products that are most relevant to each of our guests," said Kristina Schake, senior executive vice president and chief communications officer at Disney, in a statement. "A membership program is just one of the exciting ideas that is being explored."

Taking my children to Disney is something that I have been thinking and dreaming about for several years now, so if this membership program offers people enough advantages to justify the cost then I think this will be pretty successful.
