Comeaux Student Wins National Award

Congratulations to Elijah Evans, a student at Comeaux High School, who has been named one of America’s top 10 youth volunteers of 2014 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. More than 30,000 youth volunteers from across the country were considered and Elijah was awarded the title of National Honoree. The recognition as one one of the Top 10 Youth Volunteers in the nation includes a $5,000 personal grant, an engraved gold medallion, a crystal trophy for his school, and a $5,000 grant from The Prudential Foundation for a nonprofit charitable organization of his choice.
