Chik-fil-A Decides To Open On Sunday For The Best Reason Possible

Chick-fil-A has a policy of always being closed on Sunday, but they decided to go against their strict rule for a very good reason.

Texas locations of the popular Christian-owned restaurant chain opened their doors this past Sunday to provide free food to first responders and people whose homes were destroyed by storms that ravaged the area, killing at least 11 people over the weekend.

Ever since Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant in 1946 he has always closed on Sundays to give employees the day off to rest and worship as they choose.

Chick-fil-A spokeswoman Amanda Hannah commented via email,

The locations were not open to the public, but team members from various restaurants in the area did volunteer to prepare and distribute free food to responders and others affected by the tornadoes—serving those in need during this tragic event

Social media users have been buying chicken sandwiches to support Chick-fil-A's act of generosity for the victims affected by the storms.

Is it just me, or does anyone else crave Chik-fil-A the most on Sundays?
