While New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is rehabbing his thumb injury and hoping to return to the field soon, I'd like to celebrate a moment I was witness to one year ago today.

I've been fortunate to be in the Superdome for some incredible moments. The first playoff win in team history ("Hakim dropped the ball!"), Gleason's block, Hartley's kick that froze hell over and Brees' record-breaker.

One year ago, Brees set the NFL all-time passing yardage record in an emotional moment on Monday Night Football.

A 62-yard bomb to Tre'Quan Smith and the Superdome erupted.

Brees' moment with his kids had viewers around the world tearing up.

The most special moments in sports draw emotions in fans others can't understand. This was a moment.
