Boil Advisory In Effect For Prairie Ronde

A boil advisory has been issued for some customers of the Prairie Ronde water system.

KATC reports that residents living on Frank Road east ward on La. 104 to the railroad tracks are under the advisory.

Officials report the contamination is due to a broken water line.

Residents are encouraged to boil water for one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.

This is for water used for cooking, drinking, dental hygiene, and giving to pets or livestock.
