Acadiana High School New Traffic Procedures for All Drivers
(99.9 KTDY) - For anyone who travels to and from school at Acadiana High School are is driving in that area before and after school starts, a new traffic procedure for entering and exiting at the school.
According to Tracy Wirtz, Communications Director for the Lafayette Parish School System, due to ongoing construction there is now a one-way direction flow for traffic going into and out of the school.

Construction continues on the campus, and because of this construction, a one-way intake and outtake system is in effect.
Whether you are going to school to drop off or pickup, all parents, buses and students drivers must use South Drive to get onto the campus. Buses are to stay only in the left lane, while cars can only use the right lane.
When you are ready to leave the campus, you must exit onto Rue du Belier, and you are required to turn right.
For all students who are driving and parking on the campus the only place you are now allowed to park is in the stadium parking lot. That means, if it takes you longer to get to your clasess, than plan your time accordingly.
Visitors on Acadiana High School and Late Arrivals
The new temporary office is in a different location. If you are a visitor or you are a late check-in you will need to come in on South Drive, but you need to park in the Northwest Parking Lot and walk along the sidewalk.
Wirtz says officials are asking everyone to consider giving yourself 15 more minutes each morning until you get used to the new routine.
