2 Arrested for Having Rifle on Beau Chene Campus

Two people have been arrested for bringing a rifle onto the campus of Beau Chene High School.

According to KATC, the two were arrested yesterday in St. Landry Parish; one for having a firearm on school property, the other with aggravated assault with a firearm.

The report says that a bystander overheard a verbal altercation and then witnessed one of the suspects leveling the rifle at other students. Another witness said that the back-seat passenger pointed a rifle at him, as well.

The suspects have been identified as 17-year-old Julian Ledezma and 18-year-old Alonso Ledezma, both of Eunice.
