Zatarain’s Red Beans and Rice Recall

A recall of packaged red beans and rice mix has been ordered because of an allergy risk. Zatarain's Original Red Beans and Rice in eight-ounce boxes is being pulled on account of improper lableing. The boxes with a 'best by' date of July 31, 2016 may contain dairy ingredients which could put people with allergies at risk. The FDA says the product was shipped to stores in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Sout Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Retailers are being notified to remove the product from shelves and consumers are advised to dispose of it and not consume it.
