Over half of Americans are dieting at any given time and many are not losing weight, why?

Many people think the reason for not losing weight while on a diet might lie on a plate, but according to a survey conducted by Forza Supplements, the reason is probably not on your plate, but instead, in your glass.

Seems as though many people on diets, are not dropping pounds because of the effects of alcohol. The study found that four out of ten people consumed up to 1000 calories from alcohol consumption in just one night!  And in Louisiana, that number is more than likely much higher.  Many people drink vodka for fewer calories and carbs, myself included, but it's what people add to, in this case vodka, that increases the caloric intake.  For instance a vodka and coke contains 120 calories.

Drinking also lowers your willpower.  After drinks you may eat burgers, fries, pizza, chips, etc. all foods you may not normally eat when you're not drinking.

Worse yet, as few as two standard alcoholic drinks can slow down your body’s fat-burning process by a whopping 73%.
