Dog vs Cat, who loves harder?  Does your dog going nuts when you come home means he loves you more?  Does your cat not coming out from behind the couch mean it loves you less?  The proof is in their mouths.

Dog and cat owners were asked to play with their pets for 10 minutes as researchers measured hormones in their saliva.  Hormone levels in dogs jumped 5 times higher than that of cats.  Researchers now have proof that cats love humans 5 times less than dogs.  If your dog gets excited when you come home, he really is happy you're home.  When your cat doesn't come out of the bedroom, it probably doesn't care that you've even made it home.

The study measured a hormone called oxytocin.  The group wasn't even sure cats produced it.  They found that cats indeed do, which no one could be sure of until now.
