The Youngsville Police Department hosted a "National Night Out Against Crime" yesterday at Sugar Mill Pond.

Chief Rickey Boudreaux (pictured above) spearheaded the event, even acting as Master of Ceremonies and participating in a inflatable-ball-with-a-person-inside-challenge against Blair Rivette, Youngsville Fire Chief.

The Youngsville Police Department was in full force, ready to meet the residents of Youngsville and share information on how to keep our communities safer.

Princesses were there to take photos with the kids (even us big kids!).

Residents were treated to up-close and personal, hands-on experiences with equipment that our law enforcement officials may use on a day-to-day basis.

The Youngsville Fire Department was on hand to help support the event and to answer questions about fire safety, as October is Fire Safety Awareness Month!
