I informed Youngsville City Hall about a possible water leak in my yard, and they responded very quickly!

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed standing water in my ditch, which is unusual.  We have been getting a lot of rain, so I thought that was the problem.  Well, it hasn't rained in a few days, and there's still water in my ditch.

I stopped by Youngsville City Hall today to let them know that I may have a leak, and the clerk told me that she would put in a work order to get it checked out.  I drove straight home to let the dogs out, and while they were still in the back yard (maybe 7 minutes), I heard a noise coming from the front of the house.  I walked up there, and there was a man, in my yard, digging with a shovel!

That man happened to be Sherman Thibodeaux.  He explained to me that he had to try to determine the origin of the water; if the leak was on the house side of the meter, it would be my responsibility to fix.  If the leak was on the supply side of the meter, it would be the city's responsibility.

Mr. Sherman determined that I can relax: it's not on my side of the meter!

Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to the City of Youngsville and its employees; always service with a smile, and fast fast!!

Mr. Sherman then proceeded to draw on my lawn.  (I always thought that "X" marked the spot!)
