UPDATE: Youngsville Police Chief Ricky Boudreaux has reported that they have recovered the body of Keaton Jones, in a pond near his home in Youngsville. The investigation is ongoing and we will continue to follow this story.

The Youngsville Police Department is searching for a missing 6-year-old boy.

Police officers say the child, Keaton Jones, went missing at about 2:30 this afternoon in the Fortune Hills subdivision in Youngsville. Keaton is autistic and is afraid of people.

KATC reports that he got out through the front door which was left unlocked. The child is said to be wearing green underwear. It is said the he loves water but does not know how to swim.

Youngsville Police say that they do not need any more volunteers at this moment as they continue to search for Keaton. They are currently using ATVs, a helicopter and a foot patrol in search of the missing boy.

Authorities ask that people check their property and if you spot Keaton to call police immediately.
