South Louisiana is a place where many people are deeply rooted in their religious convictions. Are you a person of deep faith? Would you ever convert to a new religion? A lot of people in Iceland have. What made them do that?...

People.com reports, Nearly 1% of Iceland's population (about 3,100 people) have converted to Zuism in the past couple of weeks. It's an obscure religion that worships ancient Sumerian gods. Why the rush to join? The answer is simple...Money!

Icelnders are required to register their religious affiliation with the government. About 50 religious entities receive funding from the government, with taxpayers footing the bill. People with no registered no religious affiliation, or an unregistered faith pay higher taxes. Those registering as Zuists now qualify for a tax break.
