I subscribe to a newsletter called VetStreet and in the latest edition, they had a great article about the ways people stress out their dogs. Even when you think you're doing the right thing, sometimes you're not. I had to raise my hand and admit I'm guilty of at least one of these offenses.

1. Labeling your dog as 'dominant'

2. Assuming your dog behaves badly by choice

3. Punishing your dog

4. Being too lax

5. Expecting your dog to obey just to please you
