A new Consumer Reports survey reveals the best and worst wireless carriers in the country.

Verizon came out on top, receiving the highest marks for quality and availability of service.  It’s followed by Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.  AT&T ranked last.

My daughter is on AT&T and when she is on campus at UL, it very hard to have a conversation with her.

Of course, most people's opinion about wireless carriers varied depending on reception at home and surrounding areas.  Overall, none of the top four national carriers had a customer satisfaction score higher than 72%.  And according to the survey, cell phone companies are among the lowest-ranked of all service providers evaluated.  But it sure does beat using a payphone!
