Cities all over America have begun throwing Friday afternoon "Street parties" in recent years.  Lafayette, Louisiana has been doing this for 30 years!

The spring 2013 season is just around the corner, and the lineup is exceptional! On the other hand, we in Acadiana have come to regard that as the norm.

Things get underway Friday, March 8th, with the world's only all- female brass band, The Original Pintettes. The lineup also includes recent Grammy winners, The Band Courtbillion, featuring Wayne Toups, Steve Riley, and Wilson Savoy. Longtime favorites Cowboy mouth make a return visit. The Mercy Brothers got rained out last fall. They'll be back.

DTA! is presented by Downtown Lafayette Unlimited. This season's sponsors are Cox Communications, Lafayette Coca-Cola, Hampton Toyota and Super 1 Foods.

Concessions open at 5:30. Music starts at 6:00. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
