Whitney Houston‘s Mendham, N.J. home is up for sale and the realtor is getting some flack for how he’s selling the house. According to Carproperty.com‘s typo-riddled ad, listing agent Robert Cross promotes the house as the place that “brought down this incredible musical diva over a 15 year cycle.” Wow! Really?

The North Jersey home was once inhabited by Whitney and her ex-husband Bobby Brown during their tumultuous marriage and was featured in the 2005 reality show ‘Being Bobby Brown.’ The house is listed at $1.75 million. Zillow.com also has a listing of the home, as well.

Neighbors who lived in the community feel that the ad is in poor taste. “I think the tactic is inappropriate” Mendham resident Drew Kastner told CBS 2 local news. “I don’t think they should be using that to try to help sensationalize the sale of the house.”

In his defense, Mr. Cross told WPIX-TV that his advertising tactic was unavoidable and had to be mentioned in order to get some attention for the house. Since Houston’s death, interest in the home has doubled.

We can only imagine.

According to the ad, the 12,000 square foot home sits on five acres and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Some of the amenities include a hot tub and a swimming pool.
