Witnesses say Thomas went to a daycare on Madeline Avenue yesterday and confronted the mother of his child, a 29-year old woman.  The woman, Bethany Arceneaux, has not been seen since that time.

Thomas allegedly forced Arceneaux into his car and fled leaving her 2-year-old child inside of his mother's car in the daycare parking lot.

Around 7:30 last night, Lafayette Police say they found Thomas' vehicle, a white older model Buick LeSabre, on Anderson Road in Lafayette Parish.

Lafayette Police are trying to find Thomas as an arrest warrant for the man has been issued for kidnapping.  Police say they do not know the whereabouts of Arceneaux, and they are searching for her.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Scott W.Thomas or Bethany Arceneaux should contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
