The National Retail Federation predicts a 4% slump in Halloween sales this year, but total Halloween spending will still reach $6.9 billion, with $2.5 million going towards costumes.

As usual, you can get Halloween costumes for yourself and your family at department stores, drug stores, and even dollar stores. However, the selection at some of these locations is limited this year. Here are the best places to find a great selection in the Acadiana area.

Spirit Halloween has opened two stores this year, both offering a vast selection of costumes, accessories, decorations, props, and more:

Party City has a wide variety of costumes and accessories for trick or treaters of all ages.

Area Goodwill stores offer a great selection of costumes, accessories, and used clothing great for costuming in their Halloween Headquarters section.

Finally, shop locally with area favorites Crystal Cottage on Johnston and Old Vogue in downtown Lafayette.
