It’s that time of year again! Hollywood is in the full swing of awards season. Next on the list of glitzy galas is the 54th annual Grammy Awards. They will air live on CBS, this Sunday, February 12th at 8 pm Eastern and 7 pm Central.

There are some big things to look forward to this year. The Beach Boys, who have not performed together in more than 20 years, will join with Maroon 5 and Foster the People for a special performance. Artist Adele, who has been unable to tour after having a polyp removed from her vocal chords, will perform. And, legendary horn section The Memphis Horns, who played with artists like Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Elvis Presley, Neil Young and U2, will be presented with a lifetime achievement award.

Nominees who are favored to get on stage include Best New Artist nominee Nicki Minaj (based on her good showing at the American Music Awards), Best Dance Recording nominee Skrillex and the ever-popular Best Pop Solo Performance nominee Adele, whose song ‘Someone Like You’ is just one of many highlights on her LP ’21,’ which is also nominated for Album of the Year.

The show will be hosted by classic rap star LL Cool J. The mix of nominees is certainly eclectic and the performances on tap match that theme. There will even be a special spotlight of dance/electronica music for the first time ever at a Grammy Awards ceremony. It should be an interesting night. For all the nominees, visit PopCrush.
