Wow! Can you believe "American Idol" premiered more than 15 years ago? The Fox music competition begat a whole genre of "reality" TV, running from 2002 - 2016. The show was "must watch" TV for millions of Americans for years, but its beginnings were a little shaky. There were real, unstaged confrontations between judges Simon Cowell & Paula Abdul.
