Autism Society of Acadiana presents their Walk For Hope 2017 on Saturday, April 8 at Blackham Coliseum.

The Walk for Hope is an annual family-oriented event which aims to increase autism awareness while raising funds to support people with autism and their families. Money raised allows Autism Society of Acadiana to provide stipends for families to attend autism-related seminars/conferences; award mini-grants for teachers and professionals; and host local conferences, workshops, & training sessions.

Pre-registration is closed, but you can still register on Saturday at the event. The cost is $20 per person, with children 3 and under getting in free. Registration opens at 7am, with the walk starting at 9am.

Activities for the day will include:

  • assembling small building kits
  • fun jumps
  • balloon artist
  • art activities
  • carnival games
  • face painting
  • gaming trailer with indoor/outdoor video games
  • music from Domingue's DJ Service

Food and soft drinks will also be available, while supplies last.
