Tavurvur volcano in Papua New Guinea erupted about a week ago and Phil McNamara passing of the coast in a boat caught the whole thing with his camera August 29th, 2014.

The shockwave was enormous and went out in every direction.  The people in the boat knew it was coming but had no idea how powerful it would be.  But it really didn't matter because they couldn't avoid it.

You can see the shockwave force away the clouds above the volcano.  A guy in the boat warns everyone on board about the impeding shockware but no one could really be fully prepared.  No one was injured.  This is a really unique video and once in a lifetime view of an eruption.
