Video Of Tornado Touching Down In Baton Rouge Friday Morning

A motorist captured video of a tornado touching down near Sherwood Boulevard and Old Hammond Highway that flipped one car and destroyed power lines.

KATC shared video of a tornado that touched down Friday morning, part of an outbreak of severe weather that thankfully didn't affect Acadiana. The tornado flipped one vehicle, destroyed power lines, and caused structural damage in the vicinity of the intersection of Old Hammond and Sherwood. A motorist captured footage of the twister as it crossed the highway and damaged power lines. Thankfully, the one person injured by the tornado is expected to be okay.
