4 Dead, 17 Hurt

According to the Huffington Post, a parade of wounded veterans was en route to a banquet honoring the veterans' service when it was struck by a train at a crossing.

Eyewitnesses say that the train did sound its horn, but that the 18-wheeler flatbed "float" was stuck behind another vehicle and couldn't get out of the path of the train.  Eyewitnesses saw people trying to exit the float, but not all of them were able to escape.

This link will take you to the story on Huffington Post, with several videos detailing the event, as well as press briefings by officials and comments by bystanders and other officials.
