Never has our culture and heritage here in Acadiana been more in the spotlight than in the last week. Vermilionville is offering a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what makes Lafayette and Acadiana the unique place it is with its annual Acadian Culture Day on Sunday, August 9 from 10 AM - 5 PM.

Held at the historic Vermillionville village, Acadian Culture Day is a free event that offers an opportunity to explore how the Acadian community preserves its heritage.

This year’s Acadian Culture Day will focus on fraternal folklore and will feature music by The Huval Family Band and Robert Jardell. Activities include a Tintamarre parade, a Cajun Jam, boat tours and canoeing, fflm showings with Drew Landry, visual art by Robert Dafford, cooking demos with Poupart's Kyle Robinson, kids' crafts and games and trapping and fiddle - making demonstrations, and much more!
