(12:39pm) The Acadiana Region of the Department of Transportation and development has announced that the Vermilion River Bridge on the by-pass in Abbeville is closed for repair. Maintenance teams are hoping that it will be reopened by 2pm today. Detour route includes Park Avenue (Hwy 167 South) to Port Street to N. St. Charles to N. State to Hwy 14 By-Pass.
