Vermilion Library Hosts Health Fair

The Vermilion Parish Library will be the site for the 11th Annual Health Fair Tuesday, April 15, 2014.  The health fair is open from 9am until noon.

Sponsors for the non-profit event are the Vermilion Parish Library System, Vermilion LSU Agriculture Center, and the Vermilion Volunteers for Family and Community.

The purpose of the health fair is to provide information to the public on a wide variety of benefits, healthcare, safety and other services available to the residents of Vermilion Parish, as well as to provide free blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings.

Representatives from several facets of health care will be in attendance, including home health, hospitalization, ambulance, hearing, pharmacy, American Lung Association, nursing home facilities, representatives from Veterans Administration, insurance, clinics, planned parenthood, Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and many more.
