United Blood Services is badly in need of Platelets this holiday weekend. Platelets are the components that that aid clotting. They're used in the treatment of leukemia patients, cancer patients, and in heart surgeries. The current supply is dangerously low.  To make matters worse, they only have a 5 day shelf life.
