Athlon sports.com has released it's list of the top 125 coaches in college football. UL - Lafayette's Mark Hudspeth checks in at #34.

"If you are looking for college football’s next rising star in the non-BCS ranks, look no further than Lafayette, La."    - Athlonsports.com

In two seasons as the Ragin' Cajuns' head coach, Hudspeth has compiled an 18-8 record and back-to-back bowl victories.    He went 66-21 in seven seasons at Division II North Alabama, and made five playoff appearances. Hudspeth served as an assistant  at Mississippi State for two years (2009-10). He was Navy’s offensive coordinator for the 2001 campaign.

Under Hudspeth's leadership, the Ragin' Cajuns had one of the nation's most explosive offenses, averaging more than 440 yards, and nearly 35 points per game in 2012. This earned a national ranking of #33.

The question this begs is not if a BCS school will come courting Coach Hud... It's when.
