Federal budget cuts have grounded the U.S. Navy's precision flying team, the Blue Angels. The cuts have forced the cancellation of the remainder of the demonstration team's 2013 season.
About a third of U.S. Air Force combat aircraft, including squadrons of fighters, bombers and airborne warning aircraft will also be grounded because of the cutbacks.
The Blue Angels have been performing around the world for more than 6 decades.

Team members will be flying to maintain flight proficiency, but the six-jet exhibition team will not practice as a group for the remainder of the season.
The Air Force announced weeks ago, their precision flying team, the Thunderbirds, will cancel their season as well.
The Thunderbirds have performed several times at Lafayette's Sertoma Cajun Air Festival.
