Over the weekend, two people attempted to break into the White House, one former U.S. Army veteran succeeded.

Omar Gonzalez scaled the fence, ran over 100 yards across the grounds up to the door of the White House and walked in.  Yes, the door was unlocked.

Secret Service decided not to shoot as the President and his family were not home and the guy seem to not bare heavy artillery.  He was however, carrying a three and a half inch pocketknife.  It has been reported that his car was full of guns and ammo.

Another guy was arrested for driving up to the vehicle-screening area and refused to leave.  It wasn't a great weekend for the secret service.
