Two Louisiana Contestants Don’t Survive American Idol’s Hollywood Round, One Remains
Looks like we won’t be able to cheer for any Louisiana contestants on American Idol this year. On Tuesday’s dramatic Hollywood Airport hangar episode, we watched Hammond’s Samantha Calmes sing, then sit waiting in suspense, board a bus in a dramatic twist – not knowing where it was headed. That bus turned out to be returning to the airport.
After the show concluded last night, Ben Boone, the UL Lafayette student, posted this:
Here’s what Samantha had to say this morning:
We wish both of our home state performers all the best for their future!
The good news is there’s one more contestant from Louisiana you probably don’t know about. Donald Reed from Opelousas! They didn’t air his audition and haven’t showed much of him… yet, but he survived the airport round. Can’t wait to watch for more from him!
