An early morning fire in an apartment on South College lead to one woman being injured.

Just before 4 o'clock this morning a caller let firefighters know there was a fire at one of the apartments at Eagle Run Apartments.

The woman in apartment #36 was helped out of the building and it took firefighters an hour to get the fire under control.

Two apartments were damaged by the flames, and residents of the apartment complex had to be evacuated for three hours as a precaution.

Fire investigators say the fire started in the woman's bedroom.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
