TV Host Wendy Williams Passes Out On Live TV

TV host Wendy Williams passed out on live TV this morning. It was the Halloween episode and she was dressed as the Statue of Liberty. The show (which airs live on the east coast) was going into a costume segment when the incident occurred. Producers quickly faded to black as staffers rushed to her aid. Her manager said in a statement that she was going home to get some rest and will return to the air tomorrow.

TMZ is reporting that New York Fire Department was dispatched to the building which houses the Wendy Williams studio, but FDNY would not confirm the star had been treated. Williams came back after the commercial break and blamed overheating inside the costumer for the episode.

The Wendy Williams show can be seen locally on KATC weekdays at 2:00 pm.
