South Louisiana has had a lot of rain in recent weeks. I was recently driving in a rain storm, and saw numerous people driving without their lights on. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Visibilty is dramatically reduced when it's raining. Stopping distance increases, and steering becomes less stable. It seems drivers would want to increase their visibility. Various states have laws regarding headlight use while driving in bad weather. Many states require lights to be on when visibility falls below 1,000 feet. It only makes sense to turn your lights on when your wipers are on. Besides, Louisiana law requires it.
