Tropical Storm Warning Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for several South Louisiana parishes, effective until 10:12pm.

The affected areas include Iberia, Vermilion, St. Martin, and St. Mary Parishes.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TROPICAL STORM WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS: Iberia; Vermilion; St. Martin; St. Mary, LA; AT 4:12 PM ON JUN 19, 2017 EFFECTIVE UNTIL 10:12 PM.

 

A Tropical Storm Warning is issued when tropical storm conditions are expected within the parishes listed. Tropical Storm Conditions include winds of 39-73 miles per hour.

The warning comes as the National Weather Service is tracking two different systems; one near South America, the other near the Yucatan Peninsula.
