Troops Surprising Their Families Is the Best Christmas Gift

When I was in the Army, I was able to make a "surprise" visit home.  It was for my sister's wedding, and I showed up, unannounced, at the rehearsal supper.  The looks on my sister's face and on my mom's face were priceless!

Every day, I remind people to keep the soldiers and their families in their thought and prayers, especially around the holidays.  The holidays, for me, were some of the loneliest times when I was separated from my family while I was in the service.

It goes without saying that Christmas is a great time to surprise your loved ones with a homecoming!
