Traffic Updates for Lafayette Area
I-10 eastbound & westbound in Acadia Parish from mile post 92 to mile post 64 will be reduced to one lane for bridge cleaning beginning on Monday, August 29, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. No detour will be set up but an alternate route will be La. 95, US 90 & La 26. All equipment will be removed from the road should an oversized load need to pass.
I-10 in Lafayette and St. Martin Parish will be reduced to one lane for a moving operation in the eastbound and westbound directions. The work will take place from the I-49 interchange to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge between the hours of 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The work is scheduled to last for 3 weeks, with the exception of Labor Day weekend (Sept. 2-5), weather permitting. This closure is necessary for the replacement of pavement markings.
I-49 northbound & southbound in Lafayette & St Landry Parish from I-10 to mile post 33 will be reduced to one lane for bridge cleaning will begin on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, and Wednesday, August 31, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. No detour will be set up but an alternate route will be Frontage Roads. All equipment will be removed from the road should an oversized load need to pass.
Beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2011, the Perry Bridge on LA 82 near Abbeville, Vermilion Parish, will be closed for approximately 4 weeks, for mechanical repairs, weather permitting. A detour will consist of LA 3267, LA 14, LA 14-Bypass, US 167, LA 14, LA 335 and LA 694.
