Traffic Update: Johnston Street To Close

William J. Oliver, Jr., P.E., the District Engineer Administrator for District 03 – Acadiana Region of the Louisiana Department Of Transportation and development tells us that Johnston Street will be partially blocked, beginning next week.

The southbound outside lane of Johnston Street (U. S. 167) in Lafayette will be closed from Frier Lane to Camellia Blvd. beginning Monday, August 6, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road repair.

This closure will allow vehicles up to 12 ft. wide to pass through the construction zone. The road will reopen to regular traffic with no restrictions or detours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
