The Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and the local Acadiana Alumni Chapter of Mississippi College School of Law have teamed up to sponsor Lafayette’s 'Torn-aid' Mississippi Donation Drive is Saturday May 3 from 10 AM to 5 PM, at the Lafayette Bar Association office. They're asking for donations to help our Mississippi neighbors who were tragically affected by this week’s deadly and catastrophic tornado outbreak. As result of this week's storms, hundreds of homes and businesses were completely demolished, and  thousands more damaged. The Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and the local Acadiana Alumni Chapter of Mississippi College School of Law need the help of the entire Acadiana community to make the donation drive a success.

Supplies requested:
Furniture
Bottled Water
Clothing
Gift/Shopping Cards
Household Goods
Children’s Toys
Toilet Paper, Wet Wipes, Toiletries
Work Gloves and Equipment
Non-Perishable Foods
Tarps

You can drop off donations at the Lafayette Bar Association, located at 2607 Johnston Street, Lafayette, Louisiana.

They also need volunteers to help with sorting donations on Saturday or who can contribute to getting a moving truck to bring the donations. Arrangements can be made to pick up larger items that cannot be dropped off at the donation delivery site, such as furniture.
