I have long admired Tina Turner for her passionate inspiring music. I admire her perhaps even more for her strength, and perseverance. She's the definitive survivor. Tina  was abandoned as a child, and abused by a sadistic, drug addicted husband. She rose above all that and became one of the biggest stars in Rock 'n Roll. People reports, she recently opened up during a visit to the Johnathan Ross Show about the night she finally walked away from her tormentor in 1976. She struggled for years to make comeback on her own after splitting with Ike. Tina's perseverance was rewarded when her 1983 album "Private Dancer" won 5  Grammy awards including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Rock Performance, Best Female Pop Performance, and Comeback Artist of the Year. Tina was back on top, on her own. She continued making hit records for years, and toured extensively. I had the pleasure of seeing Tina perform twice in New Orleans. It was electric! Tina is now 77 years old, and lives in Switzerland with her husband, Edwin Bach. They've been together for more than 30 years, and by all accounts, are enjoying life. God  bless you, Anna Mae!
