Watch the arrival, decorating and lighting of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center in 62 seconds.  This year featuring 45,000 multi-colored LED lights.

Possibly, the most famous Christmas tree in the world, was introduced to modern lighting technology with the use of LED lights then topped with a 9.5-foot-wide Swarovski star.  The switch was flipped by Mayor Michael Bloomberg Wednesday on the 12-ton, 76-foot Norway Spruce.

Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis and the Goo Goo Dolls performed.  The tradition has been held every year since 1933.  This years tree will remain on display until January 7.
