A man from Breaux Bridge, one from Butte La Rose and one from Washington, Louisiana were all arrested yesterday in a suspected cock fighting case.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Spokeswoman Ginny Higgins says police were given information that there could be cock fighting at a home on Nanny Road in Breaux Bridge.

They started their investigation, and yesterday law enforcement executed their search and three men were arrested and charged in connection with the case.

The arrests are as follows:

Patrick Stelly, 50, Washington, Louisiana

Police along with help from St. Martin Parish Animal Control and St. Landry Animal Control found 48 roosters along with 300 hens and chicks.

Deputies also found items related to cock fighting.

After their arrests, all three were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
