Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana will be holding their annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th at the Cajundome Convention Center. This year’s play is titled ‘The Putzy Power Hour Presents: Battle for the Bedazzled Belt’ which is an original production of Allyson Phar. Lafayette's Road To Recovery concert on Friday night is a concert designed to raise awareness and advocacy for mental illness. The concert is in honor of the victims of the shooting at the Grand 16 in Lafayette, and funds raised will be put into a fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana. The inaugural Youngsville Community Ride on Saturday is a community bike ride, rally and fundraiser for prostate health awareness. The ride is to bring the community together for food, drinks and family fun and the ‘Big Ride’ from Austin to Denver to raise awareness and probe the conversation about prostate health.Participants are invited to ride 50 miles, 20 miles or 1 mile.
